All Stakora items are made-to-order at our workshop in Canada and shipped using express shipping. Including both the production time and shipping time, it usually takes 2 weeks to receive your order. Trust us, it’s worth the wait for a custom piece handcrafted especially for you! We can also accelerate the process: if you need to receive your order by a specific date, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Introducing our "Create Your Saint" custom Greek Orthodox Round Icon medal: can’t find your Saint on our store? We’ll make it for you! Here’s how it works:

1) You upload an image of your Saint or icon (highest resolution possible), choose your metal type, pendant size, and chain.
2) After you place your order, we send you an email in up to 4 business days with a mockup of the design.
3) Once you confirm the design, we create the necklace and ship it to you.

This pendant features a highly detailed, historically accurate representation of your chosen Saint, engraved into a round medal in the metal of your choice. Available with or without a chain, this piece makes for the perfect gift for yourself, or for a special someone’s name day!

Are your gold products real solid gold, or are they gold plated?

All our gold products are real solid gold; we never use any gold plating! Depending on the product, you can choose between a gold purity of 18K, 14K, or 10K. Each piece is stamped with the gold's purity, and every order comes with a certificate of authenticity inside the box.

If your gold products are real solid gold, how come the price is so low?

At Stakora, we take pride in handcrafting all our products ourselves at our workshop in Montreal, Canada, and selling them directly to our customers. By not outsourcing any part of the production process, we’re able to offer our pieces at affordable prices without sacrificing quality.

What is the difference between 10K and 14K gold?

A 14K piece contains more pure gold than a 10K piece, and therefore has more value. The “K” stands for “karat” and represents the amount of pure gold that the piece contains.

If jewelry was made from 100% pure gold (24K), it would be quite soft which means that it could bend or scratch easily. This is why jewelers always mix pure gold with other metals to create 10K gold, 14K gold and 18K gold. This makes the gold easier to work with and increases its strength. Think of it like a recipe: the higher the karat number, the more pure gold is used in the mix!

For yellow gold, a higher karat usually means a slightly stronger yellow color. However, these differences can be subtle and might be more or less noticeable depending on lighting.

Does solid gold change color over time?

Solid gold will never change color or tarnish over time!

Will the chain and the pendant both be made in the metal I choose?

Yes! The chain and the pendant will both be made in whichever metal you choose. For example, if you choose 10K Yellow Gold as your metal, both the chain and the pendant will be in solid 10K Yellow Gold.

Which pendant size should I choose?

Here are our recommendations:

16mm width: (about 0.6”), approximately the size of a dime
Saint details: visible but more subtle compared to larger sizes; perfect for a delicate look

Saint details: clear and visible; the perfect balance between noticeable but not overpowering

Which chain type and length should I choose?

Choosing the right chain type and length depends on who's going to wear it. Here are our recommendations:

For Women:

Women’s Chain: thinner
Unisex Chain: thicker
Men’s Chain: thickest

18”: hangs lower
20” and 22”: hangs the lowest

I already have a chain and want to only purchase the pendant. Will my chain fit inside the bail of the pendant?

The bail of the pendant has a 4mm opening, which is enough to fit most chains. Please keep in mind that your chain may appear thinner overall but can have thicker parts, such as the end piece or the clasp, which could exceed the 4mm limit. If you’re not sure whether your chain is too thick or has thicker parts, you can simply mention this in the order notes once you add the item to your cart. We will increase the size of the bail to make sure that it fits through your chain!
