Are your gold products real solid gold, or are they gold plated?

All our gold products are real solid gold; we never use any gold plating! Depending on the product, you can choose between a gold purity of 18K, 14K, or 10K. Each piece is stamped with the gold's purity, and every order comes with a certificate of authenticity inside the box.

If your gold products are real solid gold, how come the price is so low?

At Stakora, we take pride in handcrafting all our products ourselves at our workshop in Montreal, Canada, and selling them directly to our customers. By not outsourcing any part of the production process, we’re able to offer our pieces at affordable prices without sacrificing quality.

What is the difference between 10K, 14K, and 18K gold?

The “K” stands for “karat”, a unit that measures how much pure gold is in the jewelry.

24K gold is pure gold, but it’s very soft and prone to bending or scratching.
That’s why jewelers blend pure gold with other metals to create 10K, 14K, and 18K gold. This makes the gold stronger and better suited for everyday wear.

The higher the karat, the higher the gold content—and, the higher the value.

10K gold: 41.7% pure gold
14K gold: 58.3% pure gold
18K gold: 75% pure gold

Gold’s color can vary slightly based on the karats:

10K and 14K gold have a balanced light yellow gold tone
18K gold has a stronger yellow hue due to its higher gold content

Does solid gold change color over time?

Solid gold will never change color or tarnish over time!

Will the chain and the pendant both be made in the metal I choose?

Yes! The chain and the pendant will both be made in whichever metal you choose, unless you manually select a different karat for one of them. For example, if you choose 10K Yellow Gold as your metal, both the chain and the pendant will be in solid 10K Yellow Gold by default.

Which chain type and length should I choose?

Choosing the right chain type and length depends on who's going to wear it. Here are our recommendations:

For Women:

Women’s Chain: thinner
Unisex Chain: thicker
Men’s Chain: thickest
Chain Lengths:

14”: fits like a choker
16”: average length
18”: hangs lower
20” and 22”: hangs the lowest

For Men:

18” + 2” Unisex Chain: thinner, adjustable length
22” Men’s Chain: thicker, length not adjustable

For Young Children:

For a girl:

14” Women’s Chain: thinner, length not adjustable
14” + 2” Unisex Chain: thicker, adjustable length as she grows

For a boy:

14” + 2” Unisex Chain: thicker, adjustable length as he grows

I already have a chain and want to only purchase the pendant. Will my chain fit inside the bail of the pendant?

The bail of the pendant has a 4mm opening, which is enough to fit most chains. Please keep in mind that your chain may appear thinner overall but can have thicker parts, such as the end piece or the clasp, which could exceed the 4mm limit. If you’re not sure whether your chain is too thick or has thicker parts, you can simply mention this in the order notes once you add the item to your cart. We will increase the size of the bail to make sure that it fits through your chain!

Will the chain and the pendant both be made in the metal I choose?

Yes! The chain and the pendant will both be made in whichever metal you choose. For example, if you choose 10K Yellow Gold as your metal, both the chain and the pendant will be in solid 10K Yellow Gold.

What happens if I order the wrong chain?

If you order the wrong chain, we would be happy to exchange it with the correct type/length. As per our return policy, you would only need to pay for the return label fee!
